At The Mount Coastal Boutique, your privacy matters deeply to me. I am committed to protecting your personal information and making sure your experience with us is safe, secure and enjoyable. Below is a clear summary of how we collect, use and protect your information, in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.

- Payment information: handled directly by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, device and how you use our website.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process, pack and deliver your orders, and keep you updated on them.
- Answer your questions and help with returns, exchanges and sizing.
- Improve our website, our products and the service we give you.
- Send you offers and updates, but only if you have chosen to receive them.

Sharing Your Information
We will never sell or trade your personal information. We share it only with the partners who help us run the business, and only so they can do the job we ask of them:
- Our online store and payment providers, to take and process your order securely.
- Our fulfilment partners and delivery carriers, to pick, pack and deliver your parcel.
- Our email and customer service platforms, so we can write to you and answer you.
- Analytics and advertising platforms, which help us understand how our website performs.
These partners are required to protect your information and may only use it for the services we have asked them to provide.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of our partners are based outside New Zealand. Our website and email platforms are hosted in the United States and the European Union, and the partners who pack and send your order are based in China. This means your name, delivery address and order details may be stored or handled overseas.
Where we disclose your information outside New Zealand, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled with protections comparable to those required by the Privacy Act 2020.

You have the right to:

How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it to fulfil your orders, provide support and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
How We Keep Your Information Safe
We use secure systems and encryption to protect your information at every step, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. While no online system can be guaranteed completely secure, we do everything we reasonably can to safeguard your data.
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
