A soft quilted weekend bag with a camper van driving across the front, for anyone who is done with black holdalls. Two prints, two honest sizes, and the measurements are printed below so there is no guessing.

The two prints

  • Teal: a cream front with a big green peace sign, a teal body, quilted pine tree windows and embroidered daisies along the grass.
  • Sunset: windows striped in orange, yellow and pink, a yellow front with a peace sign, big embroidered flowers, toadstools, pine trees and purple mountains.

What it does

  • Opens wide: a zip along the top, so you can see what is inside instead of digging for it.
  • Two soft handles that wrap right round the body of the bag, so the weight is carried by the whole bag. In the hand or over the forearm.
  • Quilted all over: soft sides that squash into a car boot or an overhead locker and spring back to shape.
  • Between trips it does the gym bag, the overnight at the grandkids and the market run.

Which size?

  • 40 x 20 x 20 cm: a night away, the gym, or a cabin bag. A change of clothes, a wash bag and your essentials.
  • 46 x 23 x 23 cm: two or three days away, with room for a couple of outfits, shoes and a towel. Most women end up happier with the bigger one. You rarely wish a weekend bag were smaller.
